Hummus

Hummus is an easy and flavorful dip to make. Enjoy it with crackers or cut vegetables.

Ingredients
  • 1 12-oz can Garbanzo beans

  • 3 tbsp tahini paste

  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

  • 1 large garlic clove, minced

  • 1 tsp cumin

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 1 medium lemon, juiced to blend (and zested for serving)

  • *EVOO for serving, optional

  • *Kalamata olives for serving, optional

In a blender, add garbanzo beans (including half of the packing liquid) with the rest of the ingredients. Blend for approximately 2-3 minutes to form a smooth consistency.

If necessary, add remaining packed liquid a little at a time for desired thickness. Place in serving dish and drizzle with extra virgin olive oil, zest of a lemon, olives.

NOTES

If you do not have tahini; most nut butters will work such as almond or cashew.
